Owoc to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of his magnificent work in the Healthcare Industry. As a Surgical Prosthodontist and Owner of the Owoc Institute of Surgical Prosthodontics for the past 5 years, Dr. Owoc has routinely exhibited the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
The Owoc Institute of Surgical Prosthodontics' main location is in Pittsburgh, PA, with seminars, lectures, and courses being offered locally, nationally, and internationally. The vision and goal of the institute is to educate and train dental clinicians and professionals throughout the world on the current surgical, prosthetic, and patient management aspects of oral implantology. The institute firmly believes that dental implantology is a prosthetic procedure with a surgical component and that it is ideal for both patient and clinician to have all, or most aspects of dental implantology, performed by as few clinicians as possible.
During his educational career, he attended the University of Pittsburgh and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience with honors. Dr. Owoc continued his training at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with Summa cum laude honors. He moved on to the University of Minnesota, where he completed his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in the specialty of Prosthodontics, also with Summa cum laude honors.
Dr. Owoc received the prestigious American College of Prosthodontists Education Foundation Scholarship while in residency training. He also completed his Master of Science degree in Dentistry from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Owoc then attended Boston University School of Dental Medicine to complete his Oral Implantology Surgical Fellowship training. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Owoc is also involved in clinical research ideas for implant and bone grafting procedures, as well as surgical instrument and technique development.
Dr. Owoc serves as acting President of the Prosthodontic Society of Western Pennsylvania. He is also the founder of the Owoc Institute of Surgical Prosthodontics. As founder of the Owoc Institute of Surgical Prosthodontics, Dr. Owoc lectures locally, nationally, and internationally. He is a member of numerous organizations including the American Dental Association, Western Pennsylvania Dental Society, American College of Prosthodontists, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
