Dr. Maria J. Alvarez has been practicing dentistry in South Florida since 1998. During her educational career, Dr. Alvarez earned a Doctoral Degree in Stomatology from Havana University, Cuba in 1992. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Alvarez has pursued hundreds of hours of continuing dental education in practically every field of dentistry, including Endodontics, Periodontics, Implants, Prosthetics, Operatory and Cosmetics.
Dr. Alvarez is a member of the American Dental Association, Hispanic Dental Association, American General Dentistry Association, Florida General Dentistry Association, International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Association of Women Dentists. In the time away from her busy schedule, she greatly enjoys spending time with her family as well as boating and biking.
