Local Dentist Attends Mini Dental Implant Seminar
Mark J. Amidei, DDS, principal of Delany Dental Care, Ltd., Gurnee, IL, has successfully completed an industry-sponsored seminar designed to train general dentists and denture specialists in the placement of mini dental implants.
/Dental PR News/ - CHICAGO, IL, November 05, 2006 - The seminar sponsored by IMTEC Dental Corporation was designed to train dentists in mini dental implant placement and denture stabilization techniques.
Dr. Amidei, who has practiced general and cosmetic dentistry since 1988, said, "These are ultra small titanium alloy implant screws that represent the cutting edge in dental technology. They are extremely patient friendly and very effective in stabilizing a patient's denture. They are economical and work very well."
Studies reveal that there are millions of denture wearers in the U.S. and that most are unhappy with their dental appliances and have trouble stabilizing them. The IMTEC MDI is a relatively new dental treatment system whose success and patient satisfaction rate has been extremely high. Placement of four of these tiny implants can stabilize a lower denture and because they are so minimally invasive, a patient can receive this treatment in an hour's time, go out and eat a meal.
Dr. Amidei is an active member The American Dental Association, The Academy of Computerized Dentistry, The Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and The Chicago Dental Society.
